DHL UK Foundation


Working hand in hand with DHL employees, the DHL UK Foundation funds activities and programmes which help children and young people achieve their full potential. The Foundation is an independent charity, founded in 1988, and encourages all DHL employees to get involved in the communities in which they live and work, through fundraising and volunteering. The Foundation is funded via investment income and substantial donations from UK based DHL businesses.

Aiming to engage all employees, the Foundation runs Match It!. Whatever the favourite cause, fundraising and volunteering efforts are matched by the DHL UK Foundation. Naturally, some restrictions apply as to the amount matched or which organisations can benefit from matching, but these are clearly set out and communicated in guidelines.
Future Generations is an exciting programme of partnerships with national charities – Outward Bound®, the Prince’s Trust and Career Academies. The charities receive financial support from the Foundation, and they also get the time, enthusiasm and energy of DHL people.
Trucks and Child Safety is an award winning, national safety training programme run by the DHL UK Foundation and employees of DHL. Demonstrators take a lorry into schools and talk to the children about keeping safe around larger vehicles. Some 36,000 children (between the ages of 7 and 11) receive training each year free of charge.
The Foundation also offers help to employees and their dependents, past and present, who find themselves in financial difficulty through no fault of their own. An application to the Helping Hands fund may be made for assistance.
The DHL UK Foundation works proactively with partner organisations to deliver its charitable aims. We regret that at the present time we are not making grants to other charities or organisations who contact us directly, so we will be unable to help should you contact us.
