DHL Supply Chain UK
wins place in Top 50 Employers for Women

DHL Supply Chain UK has been recognised by its employees as a company women want to work for. Women have always played significant roles in our business – and today, they account for 21.3% of our total UK workforce. Many are employed in HR and Finance functions, but since 2007, a growing number of women are now employed in front-line operational roles.

Overall, women account for 12.5% our senior managers. But this figure doesn’t paint an accurate picture, as in key parts of our UK operation women now account for 29.42% of all senior roles.

Our goal is to be recognised as a leading employer of women in the UK.
This ambition is linked to our wider strategic goal of being the employer of choice, regardless of the gender, race, culture or background of our employees.

In real terms, this means:
  • Ensuring 50% of our annual graduate in-take is female;
  • Making sure women account for at least 20% of our UK workforce;
  • Increasing the number of women in senior management roles.
Since 2007, we have consistently met and exceeded the majority of targets we have set ourselves. All our businesses have introduced programs that support the progression of female colleagues in the workplace

We are committed to trying to support high potential women by increasing development opportunities and mentoring programs. As a direct result, two women have been appointed to senior executive roles within the last 18 months.

Like many large organisations that operate in “traditional” sectors, a masculine corporate culture has dominated our modus operandi for many years.
Today, 498 more women work in our business compared to 2007; we now have 41 senior female managers and an average of 35% of our annual graduate in-take is female.

Our commitment to Diversity is absolute, and we will not be satisfied until our female headcount is equal to that of male colleagues.
