Information about DHL’s flexible and secure range of payment options
More Options, More Security, More Control.

Paying by cheque used to be the obvious choice in settling your DHL Express invoices. Not anymore. Now there are secure alternative solutions to paying your account which put you in control and save you and your company valuable administration time.

Explore the options available and find the best one for you:
Direct Debit allows the amount of your invoice to be automatically deducted from your company's bank account and paid to DHL, in the same way you can opt to pay your utility bills at home. Direct Debit is safe and convenient and payment is automatic.

Consider the benefits
  • There is no need to worry about payment dates. Payment will be deducted from your bank or building society account on or around the 28th of every month.
  • In the unlikely event of an error, a full and immediate refund is guaranteed by your bank.
  • Your administration costs may be reduced.
  • DHL will notify you of the amount to be debited, 10 days in advance.
  • Variable amounts can be debited each time, so there is no need to notify the bank of each invoice total
The Direct Debit Guarantee
This Guarantee is offered by all Banks and Building Societies that take part in the Direct Debit Scheme. The efficiency and security of the Scheme is monitored and protected by your own Bank or Building Society.

If the amount to be paid or the payment date change, you will be told of this in advance by at least 10 days as agreed.

If an error is made by us or your Bank or Building Society, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch of the amount paid.

You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by writing to your Bank or Building Society. Please also send a copy of your letter to us.

Consider the benefits
  • Consolidated Card Statement: You will no longer receive an invoice from DHL. Instead you will receive a monthly card statement from your chosen card issuer, itemising all transactions.
  • VAT Reclaim: Cardholder statements can be used to reclaim VAT.
  • Cost Savings: You can consolidate all your suppliers on to one statement, which removes the need for a large Bought Ledger Department to process invoices from individual suppliers.
  • Increased Control: You will be able to easily identify any individuals or departments that overspend.
  • Increased Security: You no longer need to quote your CPC details on waybills, as each DHL account is linked to one CPC account number only.
  • Useful References: The 'Shipper's Reference' box on the waybill can now be used for meaningful information, such as the sender's name, since spaces within this box are no longer taken up by lengthy CPC account numbers.
  • Billing Simplicity: You will only receive a single statement from your chosen CPC issuer, regardless of what DHL services you've used within a particular statement period.
  • Wider Card Choice: The process is available for use with both AMEX and VISA, with the potential to include other CPCs in the future.
BACS is the Bank Automated Clearance System, which allows the electronic transfer of monies into bank accounts. There are 3 main types of BACS:
  • APS
  • Giro BACS
  • BACS

  • Same day transfer (available through APS 'fast-track' BACS only)

How to pay by BACS?
  • You will need to contact your bank and provide them with DHL's bank account details (if using Giro BACS you will need to visit your bank and complete a giro slip attached to the bottom of your invoice).
  • You should also quote your own details, such as your 'DHL Account Number', your 'Company Name' or even an 'Invoice. Number(s)' so that when payment is received by DHL, we know who to allocate it to.
  • If you are settling your invoices by BACS, please ensure that 'cleared funds' are received by DHL by the last working day of each month.

  • Customers simply contact Customer Accounting with their payment details. The information is then processed via our OASIS system and the details are applied to your account

Getting Started

Setting up an account on Direct Debit is easy. Simply print the Direct Debit Form, complete your details and return the form to us.

Select the correct form according to the DHL company name stated on your invoice.
