Yes, under certain conditions. If you included a shipper's reference number on the waybill, you can track your Time Definite and DHL ECONOMY SELECT shipments using our online Shipper’s Reference Tracking service.

You can also track DHL ECONOMY SELECT shipments by piece identifier (or 'JD' number) using our main tracking service.

If you are unable to track by Shipper’s Reference or piece identifier, please contact Customer Service for assistance.

The DHL Express waybill number for Time Definite shipments is a 10 digit number (e.g. 1234567890), so please recheck the number and try again.

If you are unsure about the shipment type or continue to receive an error message, please contact Customer Service for assistance.

There are three ways to track DHL ECONOMY SELECT shipments – by piece identifier, by shipment number or by your own reference number.

You can track your shipment by piece identifier (or ‘JD’ number) using our main tracking service.

If you would like to track by the shipment number (usually beginning with ‘8’), please our Shipper’s Reference Tracking service.

Alternatively if you assigned your own reference to your shipment, you can also track this using our Shipper’s Reference Tracking service. If you have used the same reference on more than one shipment, you can also narrow your search by specifying the pickup date and entering the shipment destination and account number as required.

DHL periodically recycles shipment waybill numbers for operational reasons. Occasionally this results in information being in our systems at the same time for two shipments travelling under the same waybill number. DHL is working hard to eliminate these occurrences. However, in the meantime, please be assured that while this information may be confusing, your physical shipment will be heading to its correct destination and be receiving the same careful attention as every other shipment in our network.

This usually occurs if the information we have is insufficient to track the shipment for you. The address may be incorrect and we require clarification or some additional information may be required. The matter can be resolved very quickly by contacting Customer Service.

The Pickup and Delivery destinations shown on the DHL Express tracking results are based on the location of the Service Centre providing that pickup and delivery. Please be assured that your shipment is being delivered to the destination provided by you when you completed the waybill for your shipment(s).
