Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport (CILT)

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is the professional membership body representing the interests of everyone involved in logistics and transport. The Institute’s 18,000 individual members have privileged access to a unique range of time saving, knowledge based and continuing professional development benefits, which support them throughout their careers and help them connect with world wide expertise.

CILT also offers a sector-specific range of qualifications and courses which appeal to all levels and grades within an organisation from new entrants right through to strategic decision making level. With over 450 members, CILT are proud to work closely with all Divisions of DHL on a number of membership and professional development initiatives and networking activities.

The BCI Partnership

The BCI (www.thebci.org) is the world’s most distinguished Business Continuity Management institute and professional membership to the organization is recognized internationally as possessing the necessary competence to carry out business continuity management to a consistently high standard.

Established in 1994, BCI currently links over 6,000 members across 100 countries, enabling members to obtain guidance and support from fellow practitioners worldwide to promote the highest standards of professional competence and commercial ethics in the provision and maintenance of business continuity planning and services.

BCI’s objectives are to:
  • Set, maintain and promote high standards for the ethical practice of BCM, including delivery of goods and services
  • Establish and promote high quality education and personal development for practitioners at all levels
  • Define the professional competencies expected of business continuity professionals
  • Provide an internationally recognized Certification scheme for business continuity practitioners
  • Initiate, develop, evaluate and communicate BCM thinking, standards and good practices
  • Influence policy makers, opinion formers and other stakeholders worldwide in BCM issues
