Over the last few months, you may have noticed a number of changes in the financial markets including the weakening of the Sterling Pound (£) against the Euro (€).
Due to the nature of our business, the majority of our costs, to move freight into Europe and deliver, are incurred and paid in euros. Until now the impact of the exchange movement has been absorbed by DHL Freight. However due to the increasing movement of the Exchange Rate between the two currencies, I am sure you will understand that it is no longer viable for DHL Freight to continue to do this.
Therefore after great consideration, DHL Freight have no alternative but to apply a currency surcharge, to all sterling-paid shipments to Europe, until further notice.
The currency surcharge will be calculated each month based on the FT.com Exchange Rate between the sterling pound (£) and the Euro (€). The rate will be taken on the 2nd last Friday of the previous month. The surcharge will be shown as a separate item on your invoice.
Details of the surcharge will be updated each month on this site. Please regularly check this website for any updates or changes.
We reserve the right to change the currency surcharge index and table without notice.
