Packaging & WEEE Compliance

As a scheme member you will receive regular regional training and data clinics, as well as technical support from our dedicated team of compliance experts.

Through this approach, we will ensure you have all the evidence you need to demonstrate your compliance with the relevant regulations, providing you with a safe pair of hands for this important legal responsibility.

Batteries

Producers can now also join our battery compliance service to identify and discharge your obligation under this legislation.

For batteries, companies are affected as ‘producers’ if they:

Put portable batteries or accumulators, including those batteries in products or vehicles, onto the UK market for the first time
Who sell more than 32kg of portable batteries/accumulators per year (excluding those contained within appliances or vehicles). NB: Separate rules apply to distributors (i.e. retailers).

ASDA

As a producer of electronic goods ASDA has responsibilities, under the WEEE Regulations, to fund the collection, treatment and recycling of WEEE. DHL Envirosolutions has taken on these responsibilities for ASDA since the regulations became law in 2007.
