| DHL Express crowns Sheffield local 'Courier of the Year' |

DHL Express, the world's leading express delivery and logistics company, named Sheffield resident Duncan Dales TIME DEFINITE UK Courier of the Year.
The award, which is part of DHL's Courier Recognition Scheme, acknowledges outstanding service and commitment to exceeding customers' expectations. Nominations are based on verbal and written customer feedback and are judged on a local, regional and national level.
Having worked in the Sheffield area for 12 years, Duncan has built up a strong rapport with his customers along his city route.
"I was very surprised to be picked for Courier of the Year," said Duncan, "but obviously very proud."
He added: "I think no matter what job you're doing it's always nice when someone takes the time to say thank you. And, of course, it's even nicer if they give you a really good prize as well!"
Duncan's manager, Dominic Jefferson, said "Duncan's a great courier and I'm delighted that he's been recognised for the outstanding contribution he makes to Sheffield and DHL. It's fully deserved."
On the road Duncan is his own boss, planning his route according to delivery priorities, and heading back to base if something urgent comes up.
Duncan was not only in pole position in the delivery stakes, but also on the track as well, after DHL awarded him a motorsport track day at Bedford Aerodrome in recognition of his efforts, where he got to swap his Sprinter van for a number of high performance vehicles.

The Sheffield Service Centre handles around 2000 TIME DEFINITE shipments each day.
