Scotsman recognised at National Courier Awards

DHL Express Service Centre Manager Kenny Muir, has received the prestigious Office-based award at the Institute of Couriers (IOC) National Courier Awards.

Kenny was selected by a panel of esteemed judges from within the express and logistics sector, overseen by former Transport Minister and Vice President of the Institute, Steve Norris.

The award recognises the skill, dedication and positive attitude shown by individuals within the sameday courier industry. Having worked for DHL Express for ten years, Kenny started as a 'Sorter and Loader' and rose through the ranks to become the Service Centre Manager at one of DHL's busiest depots in Scotland.

Kenny said: "It's a fantastic feeling to be recognised for a job you love doing. I was very proud to even be considered, let alone win the award. It's great to work for a global brand and DHL have been supportive every step of the way."

Kenny was nominated for the award by the Edinburgh Operations Supervisor for 'his commitment and enthusiasm to the company and working tirelessly to provide a service above and beyond the level required'.

Simon Croft, Managing Director DHL Sameday UK said: "It's people like Kenny who have helped us to become the world's leading express delivery and logistics company. We're happy that Kenny has been given this honour, it's very well deserved."

As a Service Centre Manager, Kenny is responsible for overseeing the development of the customer service base and also ensures customer service levels are maintained. More recently, Kenny has also been providing managerial support to two other DHL service centres in Aberdeen and Belfast.
